Colonoscopy

A 59-year-old man undergoes a routine screening colonoscopy. Numerous openings in the mucosa of the bowel are seen. Below is a image of a similar case.

The BEST next step in treating this patient is:

1. Warn the patient to come in if symptoms develop
2. Tie off the diverticuli
3. Prescribe a diet low in fiber
4. Remove the colon
