|
Acute psychosis A 26-year-old woman presents with a
rapid onset of acute psychosis, a high fever, and hemiparesis. There
were focal abnormalities on EEG and there were RBC in the CSF although
white blood cells, glucose, and protein were within normal limits. Her
disease rapidly progressed to death. At autopsy multiple petechiae were
found in her brain as well as what is shown in the images shown below.
The intranuclear inclusions were seen in glial cells. |
